Job summary

B. Braun Penang invites a Sr. Executive - Production Controlling to join our manufacturing finance team. You will support monthly closing, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across production operations, with strong cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a finance-related degree, 3–5 years FP&A or cost accounting in manufacturing, and has strong Excel/SAP capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of FP&A, Controlling, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or related finance functions.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred.
• Strong financial analysis, modelling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; SAP FI/CO/MM experience is required.
• Ability to partner with production, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly closing activities, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning.
• Analyze plant financial performance, manufacturing costs, productivity metrics, and KPIs.
• Perform variance analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership reviews.
• Drive reporting automation, standardization, and data quality improvement initiatives.
• Support financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business performance evaluations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data.

Your key responsibilities:

• Support monthly closing activities, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning processes.
• Analyze plant financial performance, manufacturing costs, productivity metrics, and operational KPIs.
• Perform variance analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and business improvement.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for plant leadership and management reviews.
• Drive reporting automation, process standardization, and data quality improvement initiatives.
• Support decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business performance evaluations.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial and operational data.
• The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CFA will be an added advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controlling, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or related finance functions.
• Prior experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting operational stakeholders and business partnering activities will be advantageous.
• Strong financial analysis, business modelling, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Hands-on experience with SAP, preferably FI, CO, and MM modules.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence/reporting tools is an advantage.
• Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures, standard costing, inventory management, and operational KPIs.
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for process optimization and automation.
