APM Automotive Holdings Berhad in Malaysia seeks a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Plant Engineering to lead the Maintenance department ensuring continuous plant operations and regulatory compliance.

The role directs maintenance and engineering projects, supervises the team, allocates resources, and drives safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement while reporting to senior management. 2–5 years in automotive manufacturing is preferred; plastic injection knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Manufacturing or Automotive Management.
• Preferable 2-5 years with Automotive Manufacturing experience.
• Knowledgeable with manufacturing plastic injection industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of plant facilities, equipment, and ensure optimal working condition.
• Lead and manage engineering projects including plant upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements within time and budget.
• Supervise, train, and develop the engineering and maintenance team with focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure plant operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.
• Allocate resources including manpower, materials and budget to support maintenance and engineering activities.
• Identify opportunities for improving equipment performance and reliability through preventive maintenance, upgrades and innovative solutions.
• Monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness of maintenance and engineering activities and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance services, equipment procurement, and project execution.
• Documentation and reporting; present monthly reports to senior management.

Objective: Management of the Maintenance department to ensure the multifaceted role that involves overseeing the maintenance and engineering aspects of the plant to ensure business continuity and ensure the facilities in compliance to regulation.

Key Accountabilities: Oversee the plan and direct the maintenance and repair of plant facilities, equipment, and ensure optimal working condition.

Lead and manage engineering projects, including plant upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Personnel management by supervise, train, and develop the engineering and maintenance team focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Ensure all plant operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.

Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and budget, to support maintenance and engineering activities effectively.

Identify opportunities for improving equipment performance and reliability through preventive maintenance, upgrades, and innovative solutions.

Monitor performance via key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of maintenance and engineering activities and implement corrective actions as needed.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for special maintenance services, equipment procurement, and project execution.

Documentation and Reporting and present monthly reports to senior management.

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing / Automotive Management

Professional Experience:

Preferable 2-5 years with Automotive Manufacturing working experience

Knowledgeable with manufacturing plastic injection industry is added advantage
