Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Engineer in Malaysia to technically lead the cross-functional design team, ensure phase-gate milestones, and align inputs with specifications. You will head technical reviews and push for timely production release of design packages and VAVE analyses.

The role includes mentoring engineers, supporting manufacturing builds, and applying emerging technologies to deliver competitive, cost-efficient solutions. A strong background in engineering and programming is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 8+ years of related experience and/or training.
• 2+ years experience as a Sr. Engineer.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or SQL is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cross-functional design team to meet phase-gate milestones and align inputs/outputs with specifications.
• Represent Jabil Engineering Services in technical discussions with customers and internal reviews.
• Drive delivery of complete design packages and VAVE analyses for production release.
• Mentor Sr. Engineers and below to enhance technical capabilities.
• Provide onsite support for manufacturing builds, prototypes, NPIs and production releases.
• Stay abreast of latest technologies to deliver competitive and cost-effective designs.
