Job summary

Pecca Group Berhad, a leading automotive leather upholstery manufacturer in Malaysia, seeks a senior operations leader to set KPIs, lead teams, drive improvements and implement automation. You will oversee production capacity, audits, and NPD coordination to ensure smooth mass production and meet customer requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/manufacturing engineering degree with 6+ years in manufacturing, including 4+ years in leadership, and have Lean, cost-reduction and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years manufacturing experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership/managerial role.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred; exposure to automotive seat or seat cover manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, cost reduction, NPD, automation, and quality standards (IATF 16949 / ISO).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; Mandarin is a plus for China-based clients.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement, corrective and preventive actions, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Identify and implement automation solutions to reduce manpower dependency and improve efficiency.
• Conduct production capacity and space utilization studies to meet customer requirements.
• Perform process audits to identify opportunities for quality, productivity, and process improvements.
• Develop and standardize production control systems and manufacturing processes, including operator training.
• Support and coordinate New Product Development (NPD) and new product introduction to ensure smooth mass production.

Drive continuous improvement, corrective and preventive actions, and cost reduction initiatives.

Identify and implement full or partial automation solutions to reduce manpower dependency and improve efficiency.

Conduct production capacity and space utilization studies to ensure customer requirements are met.

Perform process audits to identify opportunities for quality, productivity, and process improvements.

Develop and standardize production control systems and manufacturing processes, including operator training and competency reassessment.

Support and coordinate New Product Development (NPD) and new product introduction to ensure smooth transition into mass production.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred; exposure to automotive seat or seat cover manufacturing is an added advantage.

Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, cost reduction, NPD, automation, and quality standards (IATF 16949 / ISO).

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage for communication with China-based clients.
