Job summary

Misc Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for the Rotating Equipment team within the PD&T-OBU at MISC in Malaysia. You will execute engineering definitions and FEED deliverables for rotating equipment, prepare MDRs, calculations, analyses, drawings and specifications during conceptual, FEED and early engineering stages.

The role requires strong O&G discipline expertise, with 7 years in the sector and at least 2 years in EPCC projects.

Qualifications

• 7 years’ work experience in O&G sector as discipline engineer.
• Minimum 2 years’ EPCC project experience for the discipline role.
• Experience in floaters type design is preferred (Concept, FEED, DDE).

Responsibilities

• Execute Engineering Definition and FEED deliverables for rotating equipment across project phases.
• Prepare MDR, calculation reports, engineering analyses, drawings and equipment specifications for rotating equipment.
• Assist in FEED and DDE deliverables review by sub-contractors and address comments.
• Support design changes in FEED and DDE and provide input to the Manager.
• Maintain proper documentation and data management per OBU standards for rotating equipment.

Job description

Execute engineering deliverables for Mechanical (Static Equipment) department in PD&T-OBU, MISC to ensure safe, fit-for-purpose, robust and cost-effective Topsides Rotating equipment design and operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute Engineering Definition deliverables and FEED deliverables throughout all phases of engineering planned by line manager for rotating equipment
• Preparation of MDR, calculation report, engineering analysis, engineering drawings and equipment / packages specification at conceptual, Engineering Definition and FEED level for rotating equipment related.
• Assist in FEED and DDE deliverables review by sub-contractors and revert comments as per OBU Management Standards.
• Assist in design changes identification in FEED and DDE deliverables by sub-contractors and provide input to Manager.
• Continuous self-development for technical capability to support MISC vision and mission.
• Execute proper documentation and data management as per OBU Management Standards for Rotating equipment deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 7 years’ work experience in O&G sector as discipline engineer.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in EPCC project for specific engineering discipline role.
• Experience in floaters type design aspect is preferred (Conceptual Study, FEED and DDE).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or other related engineering) discipline.
