Job summary

EI Power Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Solar) to lead and coordinate large scale solar (LSS) projects. The role covers planning, engineering, execution, and coordination across electrical, mechanical, and civil disciplines with a focus on utility-scale solar installations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in solar engineering, strong LSS experience, and the ability to read drawings and specifications, travel to sites when required, and lead project teams to meet

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant solar engineering/project experience.
• Strong and proven experience in Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects.
• Good understanding of solar PV systems, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience in project engineering, site coordination, and technical problem-solving.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of project documentation and engineering standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or relevant engineering software is an advantage.
• Willing to travel to project sites; strong leadership and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities for solar PV and LSS projects.

• Review technical drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Monitor progress, installation, testing, commissioning, and technical compliance.
• Resolve technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Review and manage technical submissions, method statements, inspection documents, and project reports.
• Support planning, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure works comply with project specs, standards, and safety requirements.
