Job summary

FOUNDER ENERGY SDN BHD seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects through the full lifecycle in Malaysia. You will lead EPCC execution and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery of project packages.

Reporting to the Utility Head, you will manage stakeholder expectations, prepare progress reports, and support handover upon project completion, with willingness to travel to site as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in EPCC environments.
• Preferably with experience in Solar PV and/or High Voltage (HV) projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead LSS project packages from handover through commissioning and final acceptance.
• Manage EPCC execution aligning scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, resource allocation, and milestones.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with engineering/design teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to resolve issues.
• Monitor site progress, productivity, quality, and HSE, identifying risks and delays.
• Support contract administration including variations, claims, and payment certifications.
• Prepare progress reports and oversee commissioning, testing, inspections, and handover.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the execution of Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects. As part of the Project Management team reporting to the Head of Department – Utility, you will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of assigned project packages across the full project lifecycle.

This role requires strong execution focus and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contractual, technical, and regulatory expectations within the renewable energy sector.

Job Descriptions

Lead assigned LSS project packages within the project management team from handover through commissioning and final acceptance.

Manage EPCC execution, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety objectives.

Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.

Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure seamless project delivery.

Collaborate with engineering/design teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to resolve technical and execution issues.

Monitor site progress, productivity, quality, and HSE compliance while identifying and mitigating project risks and delays.

Support contract administration, including variations, claims, payment certifications, and issue resolution.

Prepare project progress reports, support commissioning, testing, inspections, and oversee successful project handover.

Job Responsibilities

Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in EPCC environments

Preferably with experience in Solar PV and/or High Voltage (HV) projects

Strong knowledge of project execution, construction, and site coordination

Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel to project sites when required
