Job summary

Escatec Malaysia is seeking a Senior Engineer, Lean and Kaizen to drive continuous improvement across our electronics and mechatronics manufacturing operations.

You will lead Kaizen events, build VA/NVA analyses, apply 5S, visual management and standard work, and support ESG initiatives while collaborating with English and Bahasa Malaysia–speaking teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in a mechatronics or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to lead Kaizen events effectively and present results.
• Proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Able to manage multiple Kaizen projects and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement in the company.
• Form teams, facilitate and document Kaizen events.
• Able to identify Value Add (VA) and non-Value Add (NVA) activities across all levels of the organization.
• Use visual management, 5S, standard work, and other tools to eliminate waste and improve flow.
• Knowledge on automation and ESG implementation.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, Lean and Kaizen, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization by leading Kaizen activities, identifying process waste, improving workflow efficiency, and supporting Lean Manufacturing implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for building and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in the company.

Form teams, facilitate and documents on the kaizen events.

Able to identify Value Add (VA) and non-Value Add (NVA) activities across all level of organization

Use visual management, 5S, standard work, and other appropriate tools to eliminate waste and improve flow.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in a mechatronics or electronics manufacturing environment.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Knowledge of EcoVadis and SMETA is an advantage.
