Job summary

Compart Systems Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. in Kulim, Kedah is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, layouts and material flow, driving productivity, quality and safety in a semiconductor setting.

You will lead Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams, and use CAD, simulation and statistical tools to deliver cost reductions and performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial/mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S experience.
• Experience with VSM, DMAIC, PDCA, SPC and FMEA.
• Proficient in CAD, simulation, and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead system, process and resource optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs and ensure quality and safety.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime and costs.
• Design and optimize production layouts, material flow and Value Stream Mapping.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement process improvements, workflows, work layouts and material handling systems.
• Establish and monitor process and quality standards to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Improve workplace safety, work procedures and ergonomics.
• Utilize CAD, simulation and statistical analysis tools to evaluate and improve manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering and Management teams to successfully implement new processes and technologies.

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team at Compart Systems Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. You will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, production systems, layouts, material flow and resources to improve productivity, reduce costs, minimize waste and ensure quality and safety. This role is ideal for an Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechatronics Engineering professional with strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience, who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges and driving operational excellence in a semiconductor environment.

About you

• Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, VSM, DMAIC, PDCA, SPC and FMEA.
• Strong understanding of production machinery, manufacturing processes and relevant industry standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify bottlenecks and process inefficiencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, work independently, manage tight schedules and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
