Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG Melaka is seeking a Senior Engineer Equipment Engineering to lead maintenance and reliability initiatives. You will coordinate maintenance activities, improve equipment availability, and drive safety and environment compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes achieving high OEE, reducing downtime, and mentoring technicians while supporting your development within a global leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, or similar methodologies.
• Comfort communicating in Bahasa Malaysia and English is important for working with the team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance deliverables mainly Quality, Productivity and Speed which ultimately contribute to department and Melaka site targets.
• Maintenance Lead Test and Test Scan Pack technician groups to execute equipment maintenance timely and comprehensively.
• Ensure availability of machine critical parts and tooling parts to support production which will impacted the OEE and delivery.
• Manage Test equipment maintenance systematic/Release T32, actual maintenance activities and the maintenance personnel in order to achieve best equipment efficiency and maintenance cost.
• Support improvement project related to quality, yield and OEE.
• Drive a culture based on maintenance routines and engineering solutions using training, systematic troubleshooting and root cause corrective actions.
• Minimize PDP lot on hold establish and/or modify setup, conversion and troubleshooting guide to ensure all equipment have reliable machine uptime.
• Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns.
• Train the technical team in define competency model and follow through on the technical level certification.
• Coordinate all Safety, Health and Environment activities.
