Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer Maintenance to lead Front-of-Line (FOL) equipment maintenance strategies and execution. You will improve uptime and reliability while driving down maintenance costs in a high-volume semiconductor environment.

You will oversee maintenance teams, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure safety, health, and environmental standards are met. A strong focus on 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing environments with hands-on knowledge of FOL equipment preferred.
• Strong background in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance management.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and developing technical talent.
• Demonstrated success in improving equipment uptime, reliability, OEE, and maintenance cost efficiency.
• Solid troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with the ability to implement sustainable corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front-of-Line (FOL) equipment maintenance strategies and execution to ensure safety, reliability, availability and quality performance.
• Lead maintenance operations, troubleshoot recurring issues, drive downtime reduction, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Schedule planned maintenance comprehensively to keep FOL equipment safe, available, reliable and of good quality.
• Responsible for FOL execution of scheduled maintenance, timely and effective.
• Investigate and implement counter-measures to prevent repetitive breakdowns and reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Manage FOL equipment maintenance systems, planning, spare parts, and resources to optimize costs.
• Conduct weekly 5S audits on responsible equipment and maintenance rooms (Maintenance Bay & Kit Room).
• Oversee SHE activities, including OSHAS 18000 and EMS ISO14000 audits.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• In this role, you will oversee Front-of-Line (FOL) equipment maintenance strategies and execution , e nsuring equipment safety, reliability, availability, and quality performance through effective preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives .
• You will lead maintenance operations, troubleshoot recurring equipment issues, drive downtime reduction efforts, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and maintain high operational efficiency through systematic maintenance management and 5S practices .
• Schedule planned maintenance definition comprehensively to ensure all FOL equipment safe to operate with high availability, good reliability & appropriate quality performance
• Responsible for FOL execution of equipment scheduled maintenance timely
• Investigate and implement counter-measures to prevent repetitive breakdowns to improve unscheduled downtime
• Responsible overall FOL equipment maintenance systematic, activities and personnel in order to achieve best equipment efficiency and maintenance cost
• Conduct weekly 5S audit on responsible equipment and Maintenance rooms (Maintenance Bay & Kit Room)
• Responsible for FOL Safety, Health and Environment activities, including OSHAS 18000 and EMS ISO14000 Audits

• You are skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, maintenance planning, resource management, and leading cross-functional teams while ensuring compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering , or a related technical discipline

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
