Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Lab Engineer to set up, assemble, configure, and maintain platform test systems including boards, sockets, heatsinks, power rails, memory configurations, IO cards, and cabling.

You will operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, thermal chambers, and protocol analyzers while assisting bring-up activities and maintaining documentation of procedures, changes, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Support lab facilities upgrade and maintenance
• Execute validation tests: thermal tests, functional tests, stress tests, power validation, I/O tests
• Assist bring-up: socket install, power sequencing, POST/BIOS config, PCIe link training
• Perform first-level debug using scopes, multimeters, power analyzers, serial consoles, and diagnostic tools
• Maintain lab equipment, calibration status, and inventories (test boards, cables, debug cards, thermal chambers)
• Document test procedures, lab setups, anomalies, and change logs; update Confluence/SharePoint
• Maintain lab safety & compliance: ESD discipline, PPE use, equipment calibration, tool logs
• Propose fixture upgrades, automation hooks, and reporting for continuous improvement

Set up, assemble, configure, and maintain platform test systems: boards, sockets, heatsinks, power rails, memory configs, IO cards, and cabling. Operate test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, thermal chambers, and protocol analyzers. Manage firmware & tools: flashing BIOS/UEFI, microcode, BMC updates; maintain golden images and revisions.
