Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking an EHS Manager to lead safety, health and environmental initiatives at our Penang facility. You will ensure compliance with local regulations, coordinate audits, and manage the ERT and training programs.

The role requires a degree in engineering/science, DOSH Green Book preferred, and 3–5 years’ experience in EHS; you will work onsite and report to the facilities head.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma in Engineering, Science, Quality Management or Equivalent.
• Preferable Registered Green Book holder from the Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) Malaysia. Any other registered competency will be an added advantage (e.g. Radiation Protection Officer under DAE Malaysia).
• Attended relevant environment, safety and health training recognized by DOSH, DOE, NIOSH, DAE and other relevant authorities.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the EHS field; well-versed with Malaysian legislation related to safety, health and environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EHS policies and actions meet local legal requirements and guidelines.
• Coordinate with government departments to ensure safety, health and radiation compliance.
• Lead the Internal Safety & Health Committee and maintain records per legislation.
• Coordinate internal safety and health audits and implement corrective actions for non-compliances.
• Maintain Environmental, Safety & Health policy, documents, reports and statutory records.
