EnviPure is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical, instrumentation and control systems, prepare drawings and data sheets for water and treatment projects. You will read contracts, interpret specifications, and ensure compliance with secured contracts.
You will travel to sites and support testing and commissioning activities. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years' experience, strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA, and proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
Report to Engineering Manager and provide technical support to electrical and control systems in water, wastewater, air treatment and pollution control projects. Design electrical, instrumentation and control systems and prepare single-line diagrams, layouts, drawings and data sheets. Ensure designed, built, installed and commissioned systems comply with secured contracts. Prepare textual documents for submissions such as data sheets, power consumption load lists, cable schedules and IO lists. Evaluate technical documents from subcontractors and suppliers. Provide engineering support to project sites as well as testing and commissioning activities.
Key responsibilities
Design electrical, instrumentation and control systems including single-line diagrams, layouts for power extension boxes and distribution boards/local control stations
Read and interpret contracts secured by company and ensure designed, built, installed and commissioned systems comply with contracts
Retrieve information to complete drawings, layouts and designs including technical specifications
Prepare textual documents for submissions such as data sheets, power consumption load lists, cable schedules and IO lists
Evaluate technical documents from subcontractors and suppliers
Provide engineering support to project sites as well as testing and commissioning activities
Frequent travel to project sites and flexibility to work extended hours to meet project deadlines
About you
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Controls, or other related degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Experience and strong knowledge in Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls systems
Demonstrable knowledge in troubleshooting issues within system design
Understanding of automation (PLC) and SCADA application and function (signals, hardware requirements, software, I/Os, programs)
Ability to modify and edit Electrical and controls deliverables in AutoCAD (2D)
Ability to learn concepts and technical details of complex systems
Ability to work independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities
Able to work well in a high pressure environment with continuous changes
Understanding of electrical power distribution, controls and protection for low voltages (switchgear, transformers, motor control, lighting, automation cabinets)
Able to communicate, deal, coordinate and present well and efficiently with several parties of the project such as main contractor, end user and other subcontractors and suppliers
