Job summary

Hilton Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Duty Engineer to oversee the maintenance of hotel buildings and systems, ensuring safe, efficient operation and cost effectiveness.

You will supervise repairs, coordinate with contractors, monitor energy usage, maintain records, and train staff to deliver high standards of service around the clock.

This role requires strong English, supervisory experience in a luxury hotel, and solid electrical and mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in same role or 5 years in supervisory role in a luxury hotel.
• Fluent in English for business communication.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in hotel facilities.
• Experience with hotel engineering equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain service standards to drive team goals.
• Assign tasks and ensure smooth handover between teams.
• Regularly check machine room and related systems.
• Advise on energy-efficient equipment and procedures.
• Maintain attendance records and maintenance policies.
• Coordinate contractor work according to maintenance plan.
• Supervise and inspect safe operation of equipment.
• Train employees to improve skills and efficiency.
• Conduct performance evaluations and guidance.
• Ensure energy management plans are monitored and implemented.
• Ensure emergency procedures are executed.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
