Job summary

Oracle in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Data Centre Technician to support and maintain critical data centre infrastructure. You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and decommission hardware, while ensuring safety and service quality in a 24x7 environment.

You will work closely with engineering teams and vendors, manage incidents, maintain asset inventories, and contribute to continuous improvement within a global matrix organisation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a Data Centre or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Experience with rack-and-stack, deployment, configuration, testing, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; ability to identify root causes and act on corrective actions.
• Experience following documented SOPs and change-management processes.
• Background in Linux and familiarity with data centre ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, deploy, maintain, upgrade, and decommission data centre equipment.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities and server deployments.
• Troubleshoot server, hardware, cabling, network, power and infrastructure issues.
• Triage and respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate asset and spare-parts inventory using internal systems.
