Job summary

ZTE Malaysia is seeking a skilled Customs and Logistics Specialist to manage import/export activities, ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations and SIRIM standards. You will provide HS code classifications, coordinate with brokers, and support project logistics from planning to execution.

Strong communication in English and Mandarin is required, Malay is a plus. This on-site role requires collaboration with suppliers, government agencies, and internal teams to optimize costs and delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related disciplines.
• Relevant experience in customs management, international logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia customs regulations, import/export procedures, Form E, Import Permit, SIRIM certification, and HS Code classification.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with customers, suppliers, and government-related parties.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin communication; Malay language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage import/export customs activities, including documentation, clearance coordination, Import Permit, Form E, and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia customs regulations, SIRIM requirements, and other government requirements.
• Provide HS Code classification recommendations and customs risk assessment to minimize compliance risks.
• Manage reverse logistics, warehouse transfers, and related customs processes.
• Develop logistics plans based on project delivery requirements and coordinate transportation arrangements.
• Support special shipments, dangerous goods, new product launches, and project-specific logistics requirements.
• Optimize logistics solutions to improve efficiency and control operational costs.
• Coordinate with customers, customs brokers, warehouses, transportation providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and improve customs broker and logistics service provider performance.
• Drive process improvements and resolve operational issues effectively.
