Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a proactive Credit Control professional in Malaysia to manage receivables, engage customers and support cash flow. The role focuses on timely collections, maintaining accurate account records, and effective collaboration with internal teams and external customers.

Candidates should have a accounting/finance background, 2+ years AR experience (fresh graduates welcome), and strong communication skills. Based in USJ, Selangor, with a competitive remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience; fresh graduates may apply.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Based at USJ, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Drive DSO improvements through proactive monitoring, follow-up and collection of receivables.
• Minimise overdue accounts and bad debt exposure via timely engagement.
• Resolve AR issues, disputes and payment delays with customers.
• Provide accurate Statements of Account within the first week of each month.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and issue reminder letters per CTP.
• Prepare AR/credit-control reports for Credit Manager and meetings.
• Conduct periodic credit limit reviews and support appropriate actions.
• Identify potential bad-debt accounts and escalate to the Credit Manager.
• Coordinate cheque collections and other payment arrangements with customers.
• Ensure payments are allocated promptly to maintain up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and credit matters.
• Understand customers' SOPs and billing, coordinating with Operations to minimise disputes.
• Support team members and contribute to overall Credit Control effectiveness.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, showing ownership and attention to detail.
