Qualifications

• Minimum a Diploma in related discipline with proven track record in Credit Control.
• Able to work independently to meet assigned collection targets.
• Results oriented, dynamic, creative and self driven.
• Team player, customer focused, proactive with sense of urgency and ownership.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & oral); bilingual would be an advantage.
• Computer skill is essential.
• Malaysian citizen or hold relevant residence status.

Responsibilities

• Collect the maximum value of outstanding debts at earliest date by contacting debtors via telephone and enforcing credit terms.
• Coordinate with Service, Operations and Customer Care to resolve payment issues.
• Maintain records of debtor contacts (date, action, commitments) in the system and ensure follow-up.
• Update system after each telephone conversation.
• Monitor reminders and statements per credit control policy.
• Prepare and process debtor journals and AR adjustments.
• Process cash/cheque deposits and ensure timely bank postings.
• Propose credit notes or service stops for overdue accounts to branch managers.
• Monitor requests to extend credit terms (e.g., 30 days).
• Prepare bad debt write-offs and reports on debtors and collections.
• Provide monthly status updates to Credit Control Manager/Team Leader.
• Achieve KPI benchmarks set by management.
