Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia seeks an experienced engineer to design and verify CPU core blocks, from synthesis to tapeout, with emphasis on timing and power goals. You will collaborate across RTL, micro-architecture and circuit teams to converge designs to project targets.

This role requires strong problem solving, communication, and the ability to mentor juniors in a high-performing team under aggressive schedules.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
• 7+ years in CPU physical design and timing verification.
• Experience with synthesis/APR flows on high-frequency multi-volt designs.
• Proficient in Tcl scripting and floorplanning/physical design.
• Knowledge of DRC/LVS, IR and electro-migration checks.
• Experience with cadence tools and physical verification suites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead logic synthesis and place-and-route for CORE IP blocks.
• Perform floor-planning, routing studies and timing analysis.
• Apply low-power techniques and track power reduction.
• Ensure physical verification closure of blocks and subsystems.
• Develop scripts for data analysis and recipe creation.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to meet aggressive targets.
