Job summary

Beecruit Pte Ltd seeks an experienced Cost Accountant to support manufacturing operations in Malaysia, reporting to the Financial Controller in Singapore. The role covers standard costing, BOMs, routings, inventory valuation and costing controls, along with full-set accounting for a newly established subsidiary.

Key responsibilities include maintaining standard costs, developing absorption rates, analysing variances and supporting budgeting, forecasting and cost updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of manufacturing costing experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, routings, inventory accounting and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, SAP or Oracle.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Cost Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costs, BOMs, routings and cost roll-ups.
• Develop labour, machine and overhead absorption rates.
• Analyse production variances and identify cost improvement opportunities.
• Support inventory valuation, WIP accounting and month-end reconciliations.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and annual standard cost updates.
• Partner with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
• Handle full-set accounts for the new subsidiary.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and annual standard cost updates.
• Partner with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
• Handle full-set accounts for the new subsidiary.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum five years of manufacturing costing experience.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOMs, routings, inventory accounting and variance analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle or comparable ERP systems.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
