Job summary

TTM Technologies Malaysia SDN. BHD. is seeking a Cost Accountant to maintain standard costing, perform monthly closings, and analyze costing reports for the plant.

You will collaborate with operations, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation. The role requires 4-6 years in manufacturing, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Oracle ERP, Excel, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Standard Cost Setting and cost allocation collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Monthly Closing related to inventory, scrap and material cost.
• Analyze monthly costing reports and monitor plant performance.
• Maintain Internal Control over costing and inventory procedures.
• Organize stock-take and follow up variances for accurate inventory balance.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal regulatory standards.
• Assist in inventory valuation and accuracy of WIP and finished goods records.
• Provide plant support and participate in Finance Department activities.

Job description

Standard Cost Setting - Maintaining standard cost structures and setting in order to provide a base for cost control, analysis, forecast and quotation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, manufacturing) to ensure accurate cost allocation.

Monthly Closing - Perform monthly closing related to inventory, scrap and material cost in order to provide the month end data for reporting and analysis.

Analysis of Monthly Costing Reports - Performing account reconciliations, analysis on cost reduction and monitor the performance of the plant.

Internal Control - Monitor & review the operational procedure relating to costing & inventory in order to tighten the internal control.

Stock-Take - Organize stock-take and follow up the stock-take variance in order to provide an accurate inventory balance.

EnsurecompliancewithGAAP,internalcontrolpolicies,andregulatorystandards.

Assist in inventory valuation, maintaining accuracy in Work-In-Process (WIP) and finished goods records

Plant Supports – General activities of Finance Dept and provide plant supports.

Working Experience Requirements :

• 4- 6 years of related working experience in manufacturing industry. Experience in sizable corporation is preferable.

Skill & Knowledge Requirements :

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, Pwer BI.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to management and operational teams.
• Knowledge of inventory management, standard costing, variance analysis, and production processes.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
