TTM Technologies Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead materials and reliability testing in a high‑tech electronics manufacturing setting. You will develop and maintain testing protocols, manage equipment, and guide a team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Responsibilities include planning lab activities, supporting production and R&D trials, driving new testing technologies, and mentoring staff while upholding continuous improvement and quality standards.
Develop, maintain, and periodically review laboratory procedures, work instructions, and testing standards to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Manage laboratory equipment, including commissioning, qualification, calibration, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
Plan and coordinate laboratory testing activities to support production, product qualification, reliability testing, and lifecycle evaluations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Provide testing, data analysis, and technical support for engineering trials, R&D activities, process improvements, and quality investigations.
Drive the development and implementation of new testing technologies and methodologies to support product innovation and customer requirements.
Lead workforce planning, training, competency development, and performance management of laboratory personnel.
Promote employee participation in management system initiatives, technical training, and continuous improvement activities.
Develop and manage external testing and calibration laboratory partnerships to ensure testing capability and business continuity.
Ensure compliance with testing procedures, inspection methods, and quality standards to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in physical testing, reliability testing, or quality laboratory operations, preferably within the PCB or electronics manufacturing industry.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing laboratory personnel and operations.
Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is an added advantage.
Familiarity with FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP methodologies.
Understanding of measurement systems, metrology, and laboratory practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
Good planning, prioritization, and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to present and interpret technical data.
Strong teamwork, leadership, and coaching capabilities.
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
