Job summary

DP Architects Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to manage RFP analysis, fee proposals, and complex contract negotiations for mega-size projects in Malaysia. You will coordinate with Directors, clients, and internal teams on financial health, risk, and documentation, ensuring compliance with international contract standards.

A strong leadership role with oversight of the contracts team is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a recognized Degree in Construction Management, Construction Economics, Science in Building or equivalent.
• Possesses at least 10 years of working experience in the relevant field.
• Relevant experience with mega-size projects and knowledge on PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS and other international contracts.
• Knowledge in contracts review and contract risk management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of programming software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage, assess and analyze RFP documents to clarify project requirements.
• Formulate fee proposals and prepare documentation for RFP submissions.
• Prepare and negotiate terms of Main Services/ Sub-Consultancy Agreements with internal stakeholders.
• Review NDA with in-house legal advisor.
• Assist Directors in liaising with Employers, Consultants and internal stakeholders on project financial health.
• Supervise Contracts Executives and Officers across projects.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the Contracts team and report to Project Directors on efficiency and performance.
• Review and adapt standard contract forms per client needs and liaise with consultants/contractors on contractual matters.
• Assist client in appointing specialist sub-consultants and monitor renegotiations.
• Assist the Project Architect in preparing additional services claims and ensure thorough documentation for claims management.
