Job summary

Pembinaan Infrastruktur Borneo Sdn Bhd seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of property development and construction projects. You will prepare budgets, cost plans, tender documents, and procurement strategies, while evaluating tenders and negotiating with stakeholders to maximise profitability.

You will monitor costs, cash flow, and final accounts, manage disputes, and provide strategic advice to minimise risk.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Preferably more than 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management and project financial controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in pre-qualification exercises, tender bids and preparing quotations.

Responsibilities

A Senior Quantity Surveyor (Senior QS) is a commercial manager responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual lifecycle of construction and property development projects.

The role involves managing project costs, high-value procurement, contract administration, and commercial risks to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with contractual and legal requirements.

In addition, a Senior QS handles complex commercial disputes, evaluates variations and claims, and provides strategic advice to management to maximize project profitability and minimize financial risks.
