Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a Senior Contract Manager to oversee Main Contracts, drive strategy for subcontracting and supply chain, and ensure compliance and auditable records across project lifecycles. The role emphasizes contract performance, risk management, and commercial awareness within project teams.

The candidate should have extensive experience in contract management, including claims and EPCI, with strong negotiation and legal knowledge to optimise commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or MBA in Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 10–15 years of experience in contract management including Claims, EPCI, subcontract management.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, pre-contract and commercial negotiation; auditability and risk input.

Responsibilities

• You manage Main Contracts.
• You manage and expedite contract deliverables and requirements.
• You support and coordinate the development of contracting strategies, including Sub‑contracts & Supply Chain.
• You monitor performance and compliance with contractual requirements and signatory powers, expedite disciplines where necessary, and highlight potential areas of concern.
• You ensure commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project.
• You achieve and maintain total auditability of all commercial and contractual dealings, including clear record‑keeping and regular commercial reporting.
• You participate in and provide input to Risk and Opportunities management.
• You provide Contract Feedback during the life of the project.
• You ensure Guarantee period management.

Purpose

• The Senior Contract Manager provides Contract Management support for project or unit execution across Supply Chain, Client focus and Subcontract to ensure a contractually compliant and a commercially optimised contract.

Responsibilities

• You manage Main Contracts.
• You manage and expedite contract deliverables and requirements.

Education

• Degree or MBA in one of the following disciplines (Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying).

Experience

• At least 10-15 years of experience covering all aspects contract management including Claims, EPCI, subcontract management.
• Broad experience in sales and lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation.
• Experience of project execution interface.
