Job summary

SBM Offshore is seeking an Accountant responsible for accounting duties for local and international entities under IFRS and local GAAP, with emphasis on tax and treasury involvement. The role requires at least 2 years of experience, strong IT skills, and knowledge of IFRS/IAS standards.

Daily, monthly, and quarterly closing tasks are included, along with audit support and coordination with partners. Business school or accounting degree is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 37 and related accounting standards.
• Strong internal controls mindset and process improvement orientation.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting tasks for local/international entities under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Maintain internal control procedures and compliance with IcoFr framework.
• Support monthly, quarterly closing activities and audit packages.
• Prepare tax packages in coordination with Tax Manager and liaise with external auditors.
• Assist in contract analysis and financial statement preparation for scope entities.

Purpose

• In the role of Accountant you will be responsible fo accounting related topics for the local and/or international entities
• (under IFRS and local GAAP) with a substantial involvement in tax and treasury.

Responsibilities

• Daily tasks/ responsibilities.
• Ensure Group accounting policies are applies
• Ensuring internal control procedures are applied (IcoFr framework);
• Participate to the efficieny and continuoius improvement of processes and tools;
• Monthly tasks/ responsibilities
• Perform monthly closing tasks
• Provide monthly package to our partners when applicable
• Review monthly package received from our partners when applicable
• Quarterly tasks/ responsibilities.
• Analyze Balance sheet at consolidation level, IFRS and Directional reporting
• Participation in the contract analysis, and all related legal documents (Shareholders Agreement, service agreement and …)
• Provide audit package and liaise with external auditors.
• Ad hoc requests from Accounting Lead/Manager.
• Prepare Tax package for Group in cooperation with Tax Manager
• Liaise with partners to obtain accurate data when applicable.
• Participation in the Tax reporting.
• Prepare financial statements for Sentities under your scope including audit and filing.
• Support partners with their financial statements.
• Ad hoc audit missions if needed

Education

• Business School or financial & accounting related degree

Experience

• Experience (functions, duration): Minimum 2 yearsâ experience in a related environment or an audit firm
• IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Power point), ERP
• Internal control
• Knowledge IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, IFRS 16 Leases and IAS 37 provision, contingent Liabilities and Assets and others
• Statutory accounting and tax requirements in an international Environment
