Job summary

West Borneo Construction Sdn Bhd in Kuching, Sarawak, is seeking a Contract Manager to lead pre- and post-contract activities and ensure timely project delivery. This full-time role focuses on managing project costs, tendering, claims, and commercial management for multiple construction projects.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying with at least 10 years of relevant experience, strong contract administration skills, and a proactive, self-motivated attitude.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Strong pre & post-contract experience, client/consultant meetings, contract administration, mentoring junior QS.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering procedures, cost control, and claims management.
• Responsibility, good working attitude and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract / Tender - Calling quotation, preparing costing and tender preparation for Tender submission.
• Post Contract - Preparing Progress claim, Progress Report, Progress Payment for Sub-Contractor, Variation Order and Final Account for on-going project.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and sub-contractors on project progress.
• Carry out any other duties related to Quantity Surveying, commercial management, and project requirements as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
