Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain, Procurement, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and commercial evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sourcing, purchasing and procurement activities for construction, renovation, refurbishment and facilities projects.
• Undertake procurement activities encompassing, but not limited to, the purchase of goods and services related to building construction, renovation, maintenance and associated works.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors and service providers, including obtaining quotations, tenders and proposals and preparing comparative analyses.
• Coordinate tendering, bidding, commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract/purchase order administration.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, retention, and other commercial conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors and monitor vendor performance.
• Conduct market research and price benchmarking and to identify cost savings and value-sourcing opportunities.
• Monitor procurement costs, delivery schedules and potential supply risks, and proactively address issues that may impact project budgets or timelines.
• Work closely with Project and Facilities teams to ensure procurement requirements are aligned with project specifications, budgets and timelines.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, supplier management and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with established policies, procedures and relevant statutory requirements.
• Undertake any other duties or assignments as may be directed by the immediate superior or Management from time to time.
