Job summary

Regency Specialist Hospital in Malaysia seeks an Executive, Procurement to oversee purchasing transactions in a legal and ethical manner. You will plan and coordinate procurement activities, source vendors, obtain quotations, and ensure timely processing of requisitions and orders across medical and general supplies.

The role requires a Diploma in Purchasing or related field, basic purchasing knowledge, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Purchasing, Business Administration or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Purchasing.
• Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and co-ordinate purchasing processing and transactions to meet KPIs.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams for cost control and process improvements.
• Maintain information in the HIS/FIS purchasing module and review PO status.
• Source, negotiate and purchase materials from local and overseas vendors.
• Obtain minimum 3 quotations for new item requirements.
• Evaluate vendor quotations against technical and commercial specs.
• Advise stakeholders on purchasing terms and conditions.
• Process Purchase Requisition, Service Requisition, Service Contract, CAPEX and Purchase Orders on time.
• Plan and purchase general supplies, medical supplies, equipment, and other items.
• Manage daily purchasing needs including PO delivery and shipment schedules.
• Evaluate vendor performance on quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Investigate and address vendor problems to minimize impact and cost.
• Maintain vendor performance reviews and cost-saving activities.
• Submit operational reports to supervisor within time limits.
• Assist and support Procurement team members in daily operations.
• Train team members in the department.
• Coordinate with Central Store on purchase, delivery planning and stock control.
• Maintain safe work habits and good housekeeping; comply with policies.
