Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the construction sector.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement/ERP software.
• Strong task delegation and communication skills.
• High ethical standards and ability to work under tight site delivery deadlines.
• Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin an added advantage for vendor liaison.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise subordinates, delegating daily tasks and ensuring operational productivity.
• Improve procurement workflows and SOPs.
• Prepare, issue and combine procurement documents.
• Manage end-to-end procurement and rental of construction materials, equipment and machineries.
• Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers to secure best pricing and delivery schedules.
• Prepare detailed quotation comparison sheets and award recommendations for management approval.
• Negotiate long-term rate contracts and credit lines to optimize project cash flows.
• Track lead times, coordinate site deliveries, and address shortages or delays promptly.
• Monitor project procurement budgets in coordination with Contracts & Finance to avoid cost overruns.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.
