Job summary

UEM Edgenta Bhd is seeking an experienced Inspector of Works for civil construction projects. The role focuses on supervising works on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

The successful candidate will hold a civil engineering qualification, have at least 7 years of site supervision experience, and be a certified Inspector of Works. This position requires thorough understanding of QA processes and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• At least 7 years of site supervision experience, preferably on road and bridge projects.
• Certified Inspector of Works (BEM registered).
• Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and QA processes.
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure approved materials and correct workmanship are used.
• Monitor works per Construction Drawings for dimensions, levels and locations.
• Inspect WPC’s work in stages and witness material testing as required.
• Record site instructions and ensure rectifications before work is covered.
• Report non-compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental requirements.
