Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad is seeking a seasoned Site Supervisor to oversee construction site activities, ensuring adherence to drawings, dimensions, and safety standards. You will inspect contractor work, witness testing, and coordinate with the Assistant Resident Engineer on any non-conformities.

The role demands a minimum of 18 years' on-site supervision experience, with exposure to road and bridge projects, and a valid Inspector of Works certification with BEM. On-site work in Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 18 years of proven site supervision experience, preferably in road/bridge projects.
• Certified Inspector of Works registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
• Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical and civil engineering principles, construction methods, and QA processes.
• Knowledge of Malaysian construction regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure approved materials are used and correct workmanship is followed by the Contractor.
• Carry out works per Construction Drawings for accurate dimensions, levels, and locations.
• Inspect works on the Contractor's RFIs and witness testing of materials and work.
• Take site notes from drawings used in inspection to ensure directives are followed.
• Prepare a written list of attention points with the Assistant Resident Engineer when requested.
• Re-inspect works that have been rectified before subsequent works proceed.
• Inform ARE if Contractor fails to comply with Specifications, Drawings, and health/safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Resident Engineer.
