Job summary

IMPERIO MANAGEMENT SDN BHD is seeking a QA/QC professional to support on-site inspectors and the project team in Penang, Seberang Perai. You will perform regular site inspections, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification with 2+ years in construction QA/QC, familiarity with MS standards, and competency with testing equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant construction QA/QC experience.
• Knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and MS standards.
• Proficient with testing equipment (slump cones, compression testing machines).
• Willingness to travel between project sites and hold a valid driving license.
• ISO 9001 QA/QC or construction quality mgmt certifications are desirable.

• Raise NCRs for non-compliance or defective works and follow through on corrective actions.

Identify and highlight foreseeable defect issues to superiors and the Project Team.

Prepare reports, presentations and correspondence accurately.

Coordinate with the Project Team and related parties on QA/QC issues.

Compile and submit inspection reports to the QSHE Manager.

Ensure construction activities and materials comply with project specifications, safety regulations, company policies, codes and standards.

Raise NCRs where there is non-compliance or defective works and follow through on the corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related fields

Proven experience in the construction industry, preferably with 2+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge of construction materials, methodologies, building codes and relevant Malaysian Standards (MS)

Proficiency in using testing equipment and quality control instruments such as slump cones, compression testing machines

Valid driving license and willingness to travel between project sites as required

Familiarity with construction management software and digital documentation systems is advantageous

Certifications such as ISO 9001 QA/QC or construction quality management qualifications are highly desirable
