Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Penang seeks a Senior Commercial Analyst to lead Power BI architecture, data modeling, and enterprise analytics. You will partner with Commercial Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to deliver scalable dashboards and data products that drive revenue growth and forecast accuracy.

You will mentor analysts, raise analytical maturity, and push AI-enabled insights, governance, and best practices for data, reporting, and security across global teams.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Power BI experience with data modeling, DAX, Power Query and governance.
• Deep knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and enterprise data architecture.
• Strong ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
• Experience building enterprise analytics ecosystems supporting governance, self-service reporting, and AI-enabled insights.
• Strong understanding of commercial and sales performance metrics, forecasting, pipeline management, and executive reporting.
• Proven track record converting complex data into actionable business insights that drive results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years in BI, Analytics, Data Architecture, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of advanced Power BI development within enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the Power BI architecture, standards, governance, and roadmap for the Commercial organization.
• Design and deliver scalable analytics solutions, dashboards, and data products for data-driven decision making.
• Act as a force multiplier for Commercial Planning & Performance by developing scalable capabilities and elevating analytics maturity.
• Build reusable semantic models and reporting frameworks to support self-service analytics across global teams.
• Partner with IT and Data Engineering to optimize data architecture for analytics and AI readiness.
• Translate commercial objectives into KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and decision-support tools.
• Establish best practices for data modeling, performance, security, quality, and reporting developments.
• Lead innovation in AI-enabled analytics, automation, and insight generation to accelerate outcomes.
• Mentor analysts and promote analytical excellence and collaboration across the organization.
