Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Senior Coastal Engineer (Structural) in Petaling Jaya to assist design for coastal structures and reclamation, including quay walls, jetties and revetments. You will work on planning, design, calculations, and drawings for local and overseas projects.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, at least 5 years of reclamation design experience, strong English communication, and ability to supervise design and site work, with readiness to manage

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering recognised by regulatory bodies.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design of reclamation projects.
• Experience in coastal, marine, geotechnical, civil & structural, infrastructure, and/or reclamation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in planning & design works for civil engineering projects (e.g. land reclamation, port construction and other coastal structures) for local and/or overseas.
• Civil and Structural (C&S), Environmental, design and analysis for coastal structures such as quay wall, port, jetty, revetment and land reclamation (i.e. deep and shallow foundation, temporary and permanent retaining system, soil improvement, instrumentation, etc.).
• Prepare and review technical calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Managing subcontracts (i.e. soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, biodiversity contract etc.)
• Supervise both design and/or site work
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice
• Support on pursue project: assist in Tender submissions
