The CNC Programmer role requires 5+ years of CNC programming experience, Mastercam proficiency, and a strong GD&T background. Based in Penang, you will develop and optimise milling programs, verify toolpaths, and collaborate with machinists to enhance cycle times and part quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in precision engineering.
• Proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software.
• Strong GD&T understanding and ability to read drawings.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds and machining practices.
• Experience programming Fanuc or Mitsubishi CNC controls is an advantage.
• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit and optimise CNC programs using CAM software for milling.
• Generate and verify toolpaths for 3-axis and 3+1 axis machining.
• Review drawings and GD&T callouts to determine strategies, tooling and parameters.
• Conduct program prove-outs and first article runs with dimensional checks.
• Work with machinists to resolve issues and improve cycle times.
• Maintain organised program libraries and revision records.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce scrap and improve surface finish.
