GS PRECISION (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Engineer to read engineering drawings, write and optimise CNC programs using CAD/CAM tools, and select cutting tools for various machining tasks.
You will support setups and troubleshoot issues during production, aiming to improve productivity and part quality. The role requires 3+ years in CNC machining, strong knowledge of GD&T and cutting parameters, and proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent software.
Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and 3D design models.
Develop, modify and optimise CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters and tooling methods for different machining requirements.
Support CNC machine setup and troubleshoot programming, tooling and machining issues during production.
Prepare and monitor daily production output and report production performance against targets.
Prepare and maintain production capacity plans and monitor machine loading to support production requirements.
Monitor machining efficiency, cycle time, machine utilisation and production performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement machining strategies to improve productivity, quality and machining capabilities.
Ensure CNC machines and related equipment are properly maintained according to scheduled maintenance requirements.
Maintain and control CNC-related documents, including drawings, tool lists, fixtures/jigs, NC programs and revision records.
Provide technical guidance and training to production personnel on CNC machine operation and machining procedures.
Work closely with Production, Engineering and Headquarters to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Prepare production and machining performance reports for Management.
Participate in new projects, process improvement initiatives and other assignments as required.
Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in CNC machining and programming, preferably in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong hands‑on experience in CNC Milling and CNC machine programming.
Excellent knowledge of CNC machining processes, cutting tools, machining parameters and quality control concepts.
Advanced proficiency in Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software for CNC programming.
Good understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications and GD&T.
Good understanding of production planning, machine capacity and manufacturing processes.
Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Candidates who are able to speak and write Mandarin will be preferred in order to communicate effectively with Mandarin‑speaking clients and associates.
