Job summary

Talent Recruit is assisting a precision engineering client in Subang Jaya to recruit a CNC Programmer. You will interpret engineering drawings and develop CNC programs for mills and lathes using MasterCam, HyperMill or SurfMill, and create fixtures and setup sheets for efficient production.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, GD&T knowledge, and strong math skills. Opportunities include improving processes, working with 3- to 5-axis machines, and OT with medical and outpatient coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum SKM or Diploma in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience with MasterCam/HyperMill/SurfMill.
• Machining experience with 3-axis mills or 4- to 5-axis machines with live tooling.
• Able to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Strong shop math including algebra and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and determine optimal machining methods to meet tolerances.
• Develop CNC programs for mills and lathes using MasterCam, HyperMill or SurfMill.
• Develop fixtures for complex parts and create setup sheets with instructions.
• Assist with initial run setup, troubleshooting and program improvements.
• Adhere to quality procedures and use precision measuring instruments.
• Work safely in a manufacturing environment and collaborate with the team.

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company, specializing in high-quality machinery parts for various industries, looking for CNC Programmers to join their team based at Subang Jaya.

Job Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret engineering drawings and determine optimal machining methods to meet required part tolerances, fit, and finish.
• Development of CNC programs for CNC mills and lathes using MasterCam, HyperMill or SurfMill.
• Develop accurate and efficient fixtures for complicated part production when required.
• Create machine tool setup sheets with detailed operator instructions and visual aids.
• Assist operators or setters with initial run machine tool set-up, troubleshooting and improving programs to maintain machine productivity.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments.
• Competently use all precision measuring instruments and contribute to companys quality program by following quality procedures.
• Understand and act in a safe manner in a manufacturing environment.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with programming team members and assist engineering with design for manufacturability.
• Communicate design constraints and work within the team to achieve solutions.
• Responsible for other duties and tasks as assigned and, in some circumstances, may be completely unrelated to this position and/or this department.

Requirements

• Minimum SKM / Diploma in relevant field.
• At least 5+ years experience programming experience with either MasterCam, HyperMill or SurfMill.
• Proficient in use of MS Office, and PC literate.
• Machining experience with at least 3-axis mills OR 4-axis OR 5-axis AND lathes with live tooling.
• Able to read blueprints and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Must be competent in shop math, including algebra and trigonometry.
• Experience machining stainless steels and plastics a plus.
• Ability to effectively and clearly present and express written and verbal information to individuals and/or groups required.
