Job summary

IT-Telecom in Penang, part of the Global Network Services group, manages cloud voice services, SIP trunks, and related endpoints. The senior role involves driving improvements in the voice environment, guiding design, and leading modernization efforts across UCaaS platforms.

You will mentor teammates, handle complex projects, and collaborate with Information Security, Networking, and Infrastructure teams to enhance reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years in enterprise voice, UC or telecommunications engineering.
• 2+ years of deep administration with a cloud telephony platform (e.g., Zoom Phone, Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco Webex Calling, RingCentral).
• Strong knowledge of SIP, VoIP, call routing, carrier services, and enterprise telecommunications architecture.
• Experience using Wireshark for troubleshooting codec, signaling, and quality issues.
• Automation or API integration experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to engage with cross-functional teams to drive projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage the IT-Telecom ticket queue and resolve issues within SLAs.
• Design, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise voice infrastructure and UCaaS migrations.
• Lead modernization initiatives from legacy telephony to UCaaS platforms.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, APIs, and related technologies.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Infrastructure teams to mitigate risks.
