Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a hands-on Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager / Senior Engineer in Malaysia to lead projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting client requirements.

You will oversee project execution, monitor progress and financial performance, and ensure quality, safety, and health standards at the site while coordinating subcontractors and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in substructure and building construction, preferably with buildings of 8 storeys or above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, plan, coordinate, and manage project teams.
• Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly disciplined with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to be permanently based in Selangor, Sarawak, or Sabah.
• Willing to travel outstation as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within time, budget, quality, and client requirements.
• Oversee project execution and monitor overall project progress and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and health requirements at the project site.
• Lead, manage, and coordinate the project team to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors’ work and site activities.
• Plan and manage project resources, including manpower, machinery, plant, equipment, and materials.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and other stakeholders on technical, construction, and site matters.
• Identify and resolve project issues to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
