Job summary

Arup seeks a senior civil engineer to lead planning and design of major infrastructure projects in Malaysia, with responsibilities spanning investigations, design, and technical leadership. The role emphasizes client relationships, quality, safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Ideal candidates will mentor junior engineers, oversee project delivery from concept to implementation, and stay abreast of emerging technologies and standards while contributing to Arup's legacy and social impact.

Qualifications

Recognised tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in civil engineering within a consulting environment.
Experience in contract administration, construction supervision and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead planning and oversight of civil engineering projects including earthworks, roads, drainage, water reticulation and sewerage.
Project manage small to medium-sized projects and mentor junior engineers.
Monitor laws, regulations and industry standards; develop compliance strategies.
Prepare detailed infrastructure construction plans and specifications; assess pavement conditions.
Lead design management with detailed plans, schedules and budgets; ensure QA alignment.
