SMEC (an SJ Group company) is seeking a senior civil drafter in Kuala Lumpur to prepare and coordinate detailed drawings for roads, highways, and civil infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with ISO procedures and project timelines, while guiding junior drafters and coordinating with multiple engineers.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering diploma or equivalent, with at least eight years of drafting experience on large-scale projects and strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or Navisworks

Qualifikationen

• Diploma, Certificate or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant civil engineering drafting experience.
• Proven experience in road and highway, structural and civil infrastructure drafting.
• Experience on large, complex projects with multiple disciplines and organizations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with ISO drawing standards.

Aufgaben

• Prepare detailed drawings for roads, highways, junctions, earthworks, drainage, utilities, bridges and other civil works.
• Interpret designs, sketches and mark-ups to produce construction and submission drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Check drawing quality for accuracy and compliance with specifications and ISO procedures.
• Manage CAD files, drawing registers, revisions and document control.
• Support and guide junior drafters to improve production efficiency and quality.
