Job summary

Mercure Living Putrajaya, part of Accor, seeks a dynamic Catering & Event Manager to lead sales initiatives in outdoor catering and events. You will drive revenue growth, build strong corporate client relationships, and manage a high-performing sales team while delivering innovative event solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

The role requires at least 5 years in sales within hospitality, with fluency in English and Mandarin advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in outdoor catering, events management, or related hospitality industry.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin (will be advantage).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the outdoor catering and events sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and key decision-makers to ensure repeat business and client satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the event team, providing guidance on sales techniques, client engagement, and performance optimization.
• Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts for outdoor catering and events services, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client requirements.
• Conduct site visits and consultations with prospective clients to understand their event needs and present customized catering and event solutions.
• Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify growth potential and inform strategic decisions.
• Manage sales pipelines and forecasts, utilizing CRM systems to track leads, conversions, and client interactions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with clients while maintaining profitability and company standards.
• Prepare regular sales reports and performance metrics for management review and strategic planning.
