Job summary

Galactic Network, a Malaysia-born AWS specialist, seeks a Senior Business Analyst to define and manage business requirements across insurance-oriented projects. You will model processes, gather requirements, and work with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions that improve user journeys and drive value.

Ideal candidates have extensive BA experience, familiarity with insurance products, and strong proficiency in agile and waterfall methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a Business Analyst / System Analyst / Product Owner role.
• Experience in General and/or Life insurance with understanding of insurance products and processes.
• Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong project management, requirements analysis, solution design and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with process modelling tools and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define scope and manage business requirements from high level journeys to detailed functional requirements.
• Plan, prepare and conduct sessions for requirements gathering and ensure quality deliverables.
• Create as-is/to-be models and define functional requirements, data specs and integration logic.
• Identify improvement areas and define to-be designs with technical teams.
• Maintain requirement traceability and prioritise with stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Collaborate with project manager and tech teams to define scope and plan; perform risk assessments.
• Design test scopes, develop test plans, support testing and manage change management activities.
• Manage post-implementation activities including incident resolution and lessons learnt.
• Apply SCRUM or Waterfall methodologies as suited to the project.
