Job summary

SD Guthrie International in Malaysia is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA professional to support logistics application development and drive business-aligned solutions.

You will provide 2nd level advisory, monitor change requests, ensure documentation compliance, and oversee group-wide S/4HANA development with third-party integrations. Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT/Business Administration or similar quantitative disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in S/4Hana supporting experience or project implementation related events.
• Knowledge and exposure in S4hana related configuration and system development.
• Proficient in S4hana logistic system configuration/template setup and best practices.
• General understanding of S4hana integration infrastructure and integration with multiple hardware & software environment across multiple platforms.
• Experience in Application development cycle covering vast deployment.
• Proficiency in business management, statistics & analytics.
• Ability to influence others and achieve common goals.
• Exceptional ability to solve problems and think analytically.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to adopt and drive changes.
• Great organizational, project, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support S4Hana Logistic Application development unit/section in strategy, planning and managing the team to deliver solutions meeting business requirements.
• Provide 2nd level advisor role to share service provider and monitor progress of issue resolution.
• Ensure completeness and compliance of system changes documentation.
• Evaluate and explore enhancements to improve business operation efficiency using new technology.
• Monitor S/4hana change request progress and application effectiveness.
• Assess new S4Hana technology for competitive advantage and risk/benefit analysis.
• Use SAP standards to improve performance and security controls.
• Gather refine business requirements and decide on interdependencies.
• Document and review SAP processes design and configuration relating to development, change control, and audit compliance.
• Provide 2nd level application support to share service team and ensure timely resolution.
• Oversee groupwide S/4hana development and integrations with third-party apps.
• Engage stakeholders to understand requirements and provide IT insight.
• Assist with other duties as directed by Head – Group IT.
• Manage risks and escalate issues to minimize impact on timelines and costs.
• Ensure compliance with Guthrie policies and audits.

Job Description:

• To support S4Hana Logistic Application development unit/section in area of strategy, planning and managing the team to deliver solutions to meet the Business users’ requirement ensuring Business goals and objectives are met.

• Provide 2nd level advisor role to share service provider and monitor progress of issue resolution, ensure timeliness delivery on project and change request.

• Monitoring S4hana change request progress and application effectiveness, ensuring performance standards are upheld and met, and appraising deficiencies or difficulties.

• Assess new S4Hana technology and potential to gain a competitive advantage of business. Identifies potential risks and benefits of emerging technologies to assist with risk management

• Use existing and evolving SAP technology standards to improve the application performance & efficiency with effective IT security and audit controls.

• Gathers/refines business requirements, recommends or makes decisions on business requirement/interdependencies.

• Responsible in documenting and reviewing SAP processes design and configuration relating to application development, Change Request, Application security and control, Application disaster recovery etc. Ensure the compliance of all audit control in the application development life cycle.

• Responsible in providing 2nd level application support to share service support team, ensure timeliness of end-user’s support and issue solving with prevention solution.

• Oversee groupwide S/4hana application development and the integration with third-party applications.

• Engagement with business segment stakeholders on understanding business requirement and provide IT insight.

• To assist and/or perform any other duties as directed by Head – Group IT.

• Manage risk and issues arise, escalating them for decision-making at appropriate levels of authority, while ensuring minimal impact to project delivery timeline and costs.

• Ensuring full compliance with relevant Guthrie policies, procedures and audits.
