Uvynos is seeking a practical, hands-on Application Engineer to optimize HVAC/ACMV systems in commercial buildings. You’ll design, commission and integrate BMS, DDC and SCADA solutions while working in field environments.
You will write control sequences, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure energy efficiency without compromising comfort. Travel to project sites is required; a valid car is preferred.
Uvynos is looking for a practical, hands-on Application Engineer to help us make commercial buildings run smarter and more efficiently, with a strong focus on HVAC and ACMV systems.
You won't be stuck behind a desk all day—this role puts you in the field, in the mechanical rooms, and in the system logic. You will be working directly on retrofits, writing control sequences for mechanical equipment, and troubleshooting stubborn system bugs to reduce energy waste while keeping building occupants comfortable.
You will be designing, commissioning, and integrating reliable BMS, DDC, and SCADA systems. We need someone who enjoys digging into tough technical problems, knows how a chiller plant or AHU should actually run, and wants to see their engineering directly translate into better-running facilities.
Design & Commission: Build and deploy Building Management Systems (BMS) and Direct Digital Control (DDC) setups specifically for ACMV/HVAC equipment (Chiller Plants, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems) in facilities like cleanrooms, factories, and smart offices.
Control Logic & Optimization: Write, test, and refine sequences of operation for mechanical systems to maximize energy efficiency without sacrificing performance.
System Integration: Connect PLCs, SCADA systems, and third-party mechanical equipment (via Modbus, BACnet, etc.) so everything communicates seamlessly.
Troubleshooting: Track down and fix complex system issues, whether it's a field wiring fault, a hunting PID loop on a chilled water valve, or a network bottleneck.
Team & Client Support: Share your mechanical and controls knowledge by mentoring junior technicians and explaining technical fixes clearly to our clients.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on, practical experience working with BMS, DDC, or SCADA systems, specifically controlling HVAC/ACMV equipment.
Technical Chops: A deep, working understanding of mechanical systems (how chillers, air handlers, and pumps actually work), I/O, PID loop tuning, and psychrometrics.
Mobility: Must possess your own transport (car) to travel to various project sites and client meetings.
Mindset: You are curious, persistent, and don't give up easily when troubleshooting a stubborn mechanical or controls issue.
Education: A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
Bonus Points: Previous experience with Siemens Desigo CC or Niagara (N4/AX) frameworks.
Note: Being able to start immediately or on short notice is a big plus.
