BICT Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a BMS Technician to install, test, commission, and maintain Building Management System equipment and related control systems in a dynamic facility environment in Malaysia. You will work with DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, and networking equipment to ensure reliable BMS operation.

The BMS Technician is responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting Building Management System equipment and associated control systems. The role involves working with DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, communication networks, and interfaced mechanical and electrical equipment.
The technician shall provide reliable technical support to ensure that the BMS operates efficiently and meets the project's operational and safety requirements.
1. Install, terminate, label, and test BMS control wiring, communication cables, sensors, actuators, control valves, and field devices.
2. Carry out installation and modification of BMS control panels, including DDC controllers, relays, power supplies, terminals, isolators, and associated components.
3. Perform point-to-point testing and verify all physical and software points against the approved BMS point schedule.
4. Assist BMS engineers with controller configuration, software downloading, graphics checking, testing, and system commissioning.
5. Test and verify BMS control sequences, equipment interlocks, alarms, operating status, and automatic control functions.
6. Troubleshoot faults involving DDC controllers and I/O modules; sensors; motorised valves, dampers, and actuators; VSDs, energy meters, BTU meters, and other interfaced equipment; BACnet, Modbus, and other BMS communication networks; and control wiring, power supplies, relays, and control panels.
7. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for BMS servers, workstations, controllers, control panels, and field devices.
8. Respond to system alarms, equipment failures, and customer breakdown calls within the required response time.
9. Identify faulty components and carry out repair or replacement after obtaining the necessary approval.
10. Support the integration of HVAC and other building services, including chillers and chiller plant equipment, air handling units, fan coil units, mechanical ventilation systems, pumps, water systems, cooling towers, electrical distribution systems, energy meters, and environmental monitoring devices.
11. Record equipment readings, test results, fault findings, corrective actions, and replaced components.
12. Prepare and maintain service reports, testing and commissioning records, inspection checklists, and other project documentation.
13. Ensure that drawings, cable labels, controller points, and equipment information are updated following any site modification.
14. Coordinate site activities with BMS engineers, project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other trades.
15. Maintain tools, testing instruments, laptops, spare parts, and company-issued equipment in good condition.
16. Comply with company procedures, site rules, permit-to-work requirements, safety regulations, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
17. Perform other BMS-related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
