Job summary

Celestica Malaysia is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer, Software to design, debug, test, deploy and support firmware and software spanning from BIOS to application layers. You will work with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust product development and drive features from proposal to production.

The role requires 8+ years in BIOS/UEFI development, deep knowledge of x86 standards, and experience with EFI/BIOS frameworks. Multicultural collaboration and strong debugging are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with BIOS/UEFI Firmware development.
• Understand x86 architecture and PC industry standards (PCIe, ACPI, JEDEC, USB, ATA, IPMI, Redfish).
• Experience with BIOS/UEFI firmware frameworks/code (AMI/Insyde/Phoenix) or IBV BIOS code.
• Familiar with Intel PI SPEC, EDK II or EDK II. Experience with RAS preferred.
• Open source: EDK II and coreboot preferred.
• Excellent debug and troubleshooting skills.
• Multicultural working experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define technical proposal and related specification & implement guide.
• Work closely with front-end/vendor/customer to meet product request.
• Lead and design common/customized features on JDM and Portfolio product.
• Technical lead to triage and troubleshoot BIOS and HW-related issues.
• Deliver the BIOS release package including fixed issues and supported features for production.
