Job summary

United Overseas Bank Malaysia is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing ones, focusing on delivering tailored financial solutions.

You will develop strategic sales plans, pursue high-value opportunities, and build lasting client relationships across loans, deposits, investments, and trade finance. A minimum of five years in banking sales is required, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Experience in managing and growing portfolios of high-net-worth or corporate clients.
• In-depth knowledge of banking products including loans, deposits, investment products, and trade finance.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office; CMFAS certification will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, cold calling, and networking, to acquire high-value clients.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships by understanding financial needs and offering appropriate UOB products and services.
• Conduct thorough financial needs analysis and propose customized solutions, clearly articulating the value proposition.
• Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective and existing clients.
• Negotiate terms and close sales agreements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with product teams, credit risk, and operations to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
• Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Provide exceptional post‑sales service and support to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
• Mentor junior sales team members and maintain accurate client records in CRM.
